Starting Monday, December 20, 2021 individuals over age 18 will be eligible for a booster dose vaccine. Appointments can be booked three months (84 days) after a second dose. Appointments can be booked through Ontario’s booking portal, by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre, Indigenous-led vaccination clinics, participating pharmacies, and primary care settings. Pharmacies and other locations may begin offering walk-in vaccination beginning Friday December 19, 2021.

Starting December 20, 2021, proof of vaccination for youth aged 12-17 will be required to participate in organized sports at recreational facilities. The enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code and the Verify Ontario app will be required in settings where proof of vaccination is required, effective January 4, 2022.
