Guidelines by the PHAC were released in order to “support school administrators as they work to develop plans in conjunction with their local health authorities, ministries of education and Indigenous community-governance structures.” If a school encounters a confirmed COVID-19 case, there must be specific policies in place regarding “case and contact management, environmental cleaning and temporary alternative education-delivery models.”
